Morning Mist Pavilion

This project is situated in a prime location between the Chaowu Pier and Shuishe Pier waterfront promenade at Sun Moon Lake. The site faces Ita Thao and Shuishe Mountain, and the beautiful morning mist is known as “Shuishe Morning Mist,” one of the eight scenic wonders of Sun Moon Lake. As the sun rises, the land warms up quickly, and the lake breeze carries mist and moisture from the lake to the shore. Following this natural rhythm, the space is constructed with bamboo weaving, allowing the lake breeze to flow freely through the gaps, creating a cool and comfortable experience. The exterior design responds to the movement of the mist and wind, gently blending into the lakeside scenery. We encourage visitors to slow down, feel the gentle breeze, quietly observe the scenery of Shuishe Mountain and Ita Thao, listen to the flow of the lake waves and light, and let time slowly pass.
